内容摘要:本次石家庄朗阁教育给大家分享了雅思写作范文,具体的内容让我们一起来看看吧。
Students at schools and universities learn far more from lessons with teachers than from other resources (such as the Internet and television). To what extent do you agree or disagree?

题目大意

有观点认为学生的学习过于依赖老师讲课,而从其他渠道获取的知识太少(如网络和电视)。同意反对?

思路解析

Agree or disagree话题,表达立场要么同意要么反对(不能中立):如同意,则证明学生依赖课堂>依赖网络和电视;反之,则证明学生同样依赖网络和电视;

话题论证:lessons with teachers,other resources (such as the Internet and television)这些内容需要在文中明确一一回应;对other resources这个抽象概念,题目给出了具体的Internet, television,举例就需要提及这两个渠道同学习的关系。

逻辑论证:learn from … far more than … 题目的重点是强调差距大,这一结论可以从其命题的逻辑角度反驳:其信息表述有漏洞(misinformation)—— far more是一个模糊的概念,没有客观科学标准予以量化(无法考量什么程度算far more)。

There is an assumption that students learning far more from teacher instruction rather than from independent study options such as the internet or television. However, I would disagree with this opinion.

It is not difficult to understand why learning from teachers is recognized as the superior model. For those who think this way, one of the overriding concerns is their students’ lack of self-motivation and self-discipline. They believe it is these problems that necessitate teachers’ supervision, meaning that students are less likely to be distracted in a classroom in the digital learning environment. Adding to their point is the value of instructors’ intervention; whether it be personalized comments or implications gathered from homework, pieces of advice of more effective learning methods or encouragement when students feel frustrated, none of which can be obtained by watching course videos.

Though mentored education does have its role to play in schooling, it is not justified to say that this model overwhelmingly outweighs its digital equivalents. The advocates of personalized instruction seem, in my opinion, to be oblivious to a key fallacy – the term ‘far more’ is an unquantifiable descriptor. It cannot be found any scientific measuring method or authoritative statistical standard to quantify how much more information students acquire from teachers than from digital settings. At this point, it doesn’t make sense to me to venerate guided education over digital model; rather, the internet and television, with their employment of artificial intelligence and their unlimited academic resources, appears to be making teachers obsolete in recent years.

In conclusion, it is my opinion that it is illogical to assume instructors as the more dominant source of learning over digital media.
