今天来讲一讲托福口语独立任务。这道题大多数同学的问题是:对于自己的观点缺乏进一步的解释说明或者是细节论述;或者把观点笼统的绕来绕去说一圈之后,不知所云。
出现这种的原因常是:自己对于话题的拓展不是很清楚。简单来说就是:不知道说什么。
具体举例子说说如何合理构思,组织语言。
例题: 2016-01-09CN task1
College students should be allowed to keep pets in their dormitories. What's your view?
Please include specific reasons and details in your explanation.
根据答题步骤:
stating opinion= I agree/disagree with the statement.---- 这一步基本上都是没有任何问题的。
接下来:如果同意,则要论述keeping pets的好处;不同意则是坏处。
First reason:owning a pet will influence students’ life.
所以,接下来如何论述呢?
给一个sample:Owning a pet will influence students’ life. They cannot have a good rest. So colleges shouldn’t allow students to keep pets.
大家觉得这个答案怎么样呢?
如果有问题。问题在哪呢?
其实,整体来说该位同学是有自己的观点的,能想到main reason:influence students’ life.
问题在于后面的论述过于笼统了——no specific reasons and details in your explanation.
很多同学就会觉得不知道该说些什么了,其实很简单。问自己:what/why/how
譬如:what——有宠物影响生活,是什么样的影响?影响学习生活?还是日常休息?
Why——为什么会影响到学生生活呢?
How——是如何影响学生生活的?
如果能答上以上1-2个问题,你的答案就不会干瘪了。
Sample:
What:influence study--- distract their attention while studying; take up their rest time to take care of them.
how: pets usually make noise. Like dogs; mess up dorms; shed furs
why:noise----disturbing; furs—allergic/ hygiene
用一些联结词/句把这些观点连起来就是一个完整的论述了。
Sample:
I disagree with the statement. Pets will be a big distraction in students’ life coz they are generally quite noisy and messy, especially like dogs, they bark and shed furs, which will influence students’ rest and public hygiene. And some people may get allergic to them.
Additionally,as students they should realize that study always comes first. However, owning a pet will take up their study and rest time inevitably. Thus, it may be harder for them to maintain a high GPA.
