托福口语三选一难题解析
首先，我们来粗略看一眼题：
2019.04.13
Task 1:
If human beings were not able to live on the earth because of pollution, where would you like to live?
A. The surface of ocean;
B. Polar areas;
C.Other planets, like Moon or Mars.
惊不惊喜？意不意外？是不是很难？
很多备考的朋友看到这一题都觉得一脸懵逼，无从下手，好像之前也没有考过类似的题？！但是，睁大眼睛，再来仔细看看第二眼，好像也没有那么难。接下来，老师就带大家来安排第二眼。
首先，逐个看看三选一里的每个选项：
A． The surface of ocean
住在海洋表面？先不论可行不可行，毕竟题干里给出的三个选择都对科技有了很大的期许。我们可以稍微想一想这一选项的优点和缺点，为答题补充足够多的points & supporting details。
Good points:
l Enjoy the beautiful scenery
l A variety of resources:
--Water: process ocean water to fresh water (desalination)
--Energy: oceanic mineral resources, like natural gas, fossil oil…;
electric energy
--Food: seaweed, plankton, fish and shrimp…
--Marine drug
l Enough space for people to live (71% of Earth’s surface is ocean)
Bad point: severe pollution
这样一看，选项A可以给出的理由其实很充分，有水，有食物，光这两点即可给出相应作答。当然，不要捉急，其他两个选项也是各有特点。
B． Polar areas
想到南极北极，就觉得冷啊。但除了过于寒冷，B选项也有其优点：
Good points:
l A variety of resources:
--Water: process glaciers to fresh water
--Animals：具体可见百度百科
--Mineral resources
l Eskimos live near the North Pole.
Bad points:
l Global warming: accelerated melting of glaciers
l Too cold to live:
the South Pole: -49°C in average; the North Pole: -20 to -40°C in Jan
C． Other planets, like Mars or Moon
小时候的梦想，就是当个太空人呀。其实，很早就有人提出移居其他星球这一设想了。我们可以稍稍回忆下初中高中地理课：
Good points:
l Potential to build another home for human beings
Bad points:
l Oxygen?
l Water?
l Extra-terrestrial?
科技日益发达，人类也在不断探索外太空，登陆月球已经get，登陆火星也在计划（具体可参阅百度词条“登陆火星计划”），感兴趣的朋友们也可以对这一选项进行细节补充。
在对这一题进行作答时，选定选项（X），给出相应理由。朋友们可以有两种操作：可以给出X选项的两个优点，作两个理由；也可以给X选项的一个优点，作一理由，同时diss其余两个选项，作另一理由。
